KitaTrack ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application, KitaTrack, designed for store owners in the Philippines to manage GCash, Maya, and other digital wallet transactions.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information Collection and Local Storage
To provide our services, we process information that you manually enter into the app and data collected automatically via third-party services.
A. Account and Preference Information (Firebase) To use KitaTrack, users are required to create an account. We process the following information through Firebase Authentication and Firestore:
- Account Information: Email address and a unique user identifier (UID) provided by Firebase.
- User Preferences: App-related settings such as subscription status, feature preferences, and configuration values. These are stored securely in Google Firestore.
- Authentication data is handled by Firebase Authentication and is not stored directly on our own servers.
B. User-Provided Data (Transaction Logs via SQLite) When you log a transaction, the following information is stored in a private SQLite database located locally on your device. We do not upload your financial transaction logs to our servers:
- Transaction Details: Date, time, wallet type (e.g., GCash, Maya), and transaction type (e.g., Cash In, Cash Out, Load).
- Financial Data: Transaction amounts and fees.
- Contact Information: Sender's or recipient's mobile numbers.
- Reference Data: Transaction reference numbers and your personal notes.
C. Automatically Collected Information We use third-party tools (AdMob and RevenueCat) that may collect:
- Device Identifiers: Advertising ID (AAID), device type, and other network-related information as processed by third-party services.
- Usage Data: App interactions, crash logs, and performance diagnostics.
2. App Permissions
To function correctly, KitaTrack requires the following permissions on your device:
- Storage (Read/Write): Used solely for the Manual Backup and Restore feature, allowing you to save your SQLite transaction history to your device storage and restore it later.
- Network Access: Required to process premium subscriptions via RevenueCat and to display advertisements via AdMob.
- Advertising ID: Used to provide relevant ads to users on the Free version of the app. Users may opt out of personalized advertising through their device settings, in which case non-personalized ads may be shown.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data collected for the following purposes:
- Account Management: To authenticate users, store app preferences, and associate premium status with a user account.
- App Functionality: To record your transactions and allow you to search/filter them quickly using the local SQLite database.
- Analytics: To generate earnings reports and business insights based on the fees you input.
- Subscription Management: To manage your Free or Premium status through RevenueCat.
- Advertising: To display ads to users on the Free tier.
4. Third-Party Services
Our app integrates with the following third-party providers who have their own privacy policies:
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local Data: Transaction logs are stored locally in an SQLite database on your device. We do not host these logs on our own servers.
- Cloud Account Data: Account information and user preferences stored in Firebase may be retained as long as your account is active.
- Deletion: You may delete your local transaction data within the app or by clearing the app’s data via your device settings. You may request deletion of your account and associated cloud-stored preferences by contacting us at the email below. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your cloud account.
6. Children’s Privacy
KitaTrack is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Compliance with Philippines Data Privacy Act (DPA)
In accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, users in the Philippines have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to rectify, and to erasure of their personal data. Since transaction data is stored locally in an SQLite database and account data is managed through Firebase, users may exercise their rights by managing local data within the app and requesting account deletion when applicable.
